Located in the south of Greenland, Qaqortoq is the fourth largest town in the country. Qaqortoq has been dubbed the Arctic Riviera of the north, and it is only when you walk around this brightly coloured town with the mountains rising high in the background you understand why.
While we were in Qaqortoq we took a tour of the town learning all about the history of the area, but the main reason we were in southern Greenland was to visit Uunartoq, the most beautiful hotsprings in the world. These were seriously next level, and it’s worth visiting Qaqortoq just for a dip in the hotsprings!
