Do something different and become a part of our new travel video project
At An Adventurous World we are all about the open-source community; what that means is we love doing things for free (just take a look at Macca’s book Your Round the World Trip Planner as an example of that).
If you are aware of what we do, you will know we are all about bringing people and places to you at home, and in August we are launching the travel video side of this blog with Brianna and Macca as presenters. I’m not going to lie, all three of us are really excited to finally show you what we can do, and we have already got some great videos lined up for you.
Obviously we want some really slick music to go with these videos, and that’s where you come in.
If you are a musician or in a band, unsigned or signed, we would love to hear some of your songs. It really doesn’t matter what type of genre your music you are – we will be looking to use different types of genres for different types of videos – all that matters is you are keen to be involved.
Now, you may be wondering why we are looking for musicians to be involved in our new travel video project.
Firstly, uploading videos with music from popular artists to YouTube is a bit like playing Russian Roulette; you never know when you’re going to get shot and asked to remove the video (trust me on that one).
Secondly, it comes back to the open-source community element of this blog. We really want to uncover some musical gems so when people watch our videos they automatically think “wow, I love this song. Who is this?” It could be you!
Worried about whether we can shoot or not? Hopefully this will show you what we can do with a camera in our hands:

So, what are you going to get out of it?
We are hoping to get one or two (or maybe a few) viral videos with An Adventurous World; what this means is it could be great exposure for you and your band. Imagine a video with over a million views with you music in the background. We think that’s pretty good going in our books.
We will make sure all music is attributed to each artist on each video. Also, we will attribute to each artist on here, our blog.
And finally, we will promote you on all of our social media channels, so all in all it is a lot of exposure and awareness for you guys!
All you have to do is give us permission to use your amazing work. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you are interested and would like to be involved in our travel video project, we would love to hear from you. Either send us an email to [email protected] or leave a comment at the bottom of this post. We will listen to your music and if it’s right we will take it forward from there.
And if some of your friends are musicians and you think they woulld like to get involved, make sure you share this post so they know!
We’re all really excited to hear what you’ve got for us…

Are you interested in professionally recorded a cappella covers? Or must it be 100% original content?

Hi Kera! Usually we're looking for 100% original content but we'll always listen to whatever you send over to see if it works!

Thanks for commenting Quentin, and we're really glad you are enjoying the show.
For the Guatemala track, it was created for us by a Canadian producer called Andrew Peebles; you can check out more of his stuff here - https://soundcloud.com/apeebles
