I absolutely loved my visit to the Cape Panwa Hotel

Phuket has an amazing reputation among travellers for a reason. There are so many beautiful beaches, the views of the little islands dotted around everywhere are just magic, and I think there’s some of the best Thai food around.

While we were in Phuket, we stayed at the Cape Panwa Hotel and the Dusit Thani Laguna, but we popped into a couple of other popular hotels too. We also managed to go of a few tours too, but I’ll save that for another post!

Are you ready to see the coolest hotels in Phuket? Then let’s find out where you’re staying for a holiday to remember!

Are you planning a holiday of a lifetime? Then check out these adventures in Thailand you need to do!

Where to stay in Phuket

The afternoon tea at the Dusit Thani Laguna is worth visiting in itself!

Patong: Probably the busiest, loudest and most touristy area in Phuket. This is home to the famous Patong Beach with all the restaurants, bars, and parties that are perfect for night owls.

Phuket Old Town: If you’re looking for a more local, authentic, and historical experience, head to Phuket Old Town where tourist numbers tend to be low and there are a lot more local spots.

Kamala: For those looking for ultimate relaxed and chilled vibes in Phuket. This is home to the stunning Kamala Beach with its sweeping white sands and palm trees.

Mai Khao: If you’re looking for private resorts, luxury and secluded high-end experiences, Mai Khao is the place for you. This small village is home to many luxury resorts and the stunning and secluded Mai Khao Beach.

Kalim: Just down from Patong Beach, you’ll find Kalim Beach which is a popular surf spot and has several beach bars and nightlife spots, but is a lot more chilled out than neighbouring Patong.

Kata: If you want a Phuket neighbourhood that has a huge sandy beach, a ton of hotels and restaurants, and minimal nightlife, check out Kata. It’s a popular tourist hotspot, especially with families, and is a great base for relaxing or exploring the Phuket area.
