Where to stay in Istanbul
If it’s your first time in Istanbul, make sure you book a hotel in the Sultanahmet neighbourhood. It’s here where you’ll find the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, so it’s a popular hub.
Perhaps markets and bazaars are more your bag? If so, think about booking a stay in the Eminonu/Sirkeci area, home to both the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar. It’s also much cheaper than Sultanahmet, so if you’re looking for lower prices, travel here.
Traveling with friends or loved ones and want more of a nightlife scene? Head across to Karakoy. Known for its food, drink, and club scene, it’s a laidback and cool neighbourhood to stay in.
Looking for a mix of nightlife and museums? Beyoglu is an up-and-coming neighbourhood that’s home to some of the coolest hotels in Istanbul as well as some amazing restaurants.
